The world is moving in an automated direction, whereby your bin opens automatically, your lights are set on timers and your curtains open at the click of a button, however, here are some reasons why you may not want electric operation for your garage.

Firstly, trusting electricity with some of your most beloved valuables – is that wise? If there was a weird fault with the system whilst you’re at work, you have essentially given easy access to thieves, so can you really trust a remote system that much? Another reason is because you have to maintain the electric unit. There will be times when it plays up or the batteries go, and it’s another problem to think about, whilst manual operation is less likely to fail or have any issues. A final reason for choosing manual over electric is that you differentiate yourself from the rest of the people in your village who think electricity is the way forward. Be a bit different, do some physical activity to open your garage and don’t cheat your way through life. Okay that one was a joke, but you get the point!
